The Gibbs window

This window has managed to survive two rebuilds of the church so far. It is unknown as to where it was originally placed in the medieval church but was installed in 1868, shortly before the church was declared beyond salvage and demolished in favor of the new church. Whilst its position at first was quite prominent in the Victorian build, once the organ had been installed it was largely obscured. In the modern rebuild it is once more in full display on the South West side.

The inscription on the window reads "This window is erected to the glory of God as a monument to Joseph Barrow, born 1762 died 1831. To Ann his wife born 1763 died 1833 and to James the eldest of the seven children of the aforesaid Ann and her first husband Samuel Woolley, born 1783 died 1855. 'I am the resurrection and the life' "

The window depicts the baptism of Jesus by John and the last supper with Judas sneaking away.
