Rev. Conyngham William George Corfield.

Vicar 1878 - 1886

The Rev. Conyngham Corfield took over briefly from his father Frederick when Frederick first took showed signs of strain and permanently once Frederick decided he needed a less demanding parish.

Conyngham was very well loved by the parish, but sadly from an early age had a very delicate chest. In an affect to cure his chest he had a number of sabbaticals between1884-1886 to both Tazmania and Bournemouth, due to his illness he eventually had to retire where he died very suddenly to the distress of the people in the Heanor parish.
