Honourable Jane Cleland Burns window.

This window was dedicated in 1909 in memory of the Honerable Jane Cleland Burns.

Extract from the parish magazine:

"The Rector and the Hon. Mrs. Claud Corfield intend putting a window in the North side of the Parish Church in memory of the Hon. Jane Cleland Burns.

The design, which is being executed by Messrs. Jones and Willis, is a very beautiful one, the figures representing Saints and Martyrs who have sufferred much, and who have done loving deeds of charity. (A full description of the design will appear later in this magazine).  In the top lights two words: 'There are they who have come out of great tribulation'.

The Hon. Mrs. Claud Corfield and her sister, the Hon. A. Caroline Burns, have given £1000 to endow a bed in 'the hospital home for crippled children; at Prestwick, Scotland, in memory of their sister who took a very great and personal interest in this society, and by her loving sympathy did much for these suffering children.
